Installation/Training

Installation

On-site installation is provided by one (or more) of our experienced and qualified installers. You can count on friendly, professional expertise for this service.

From date of order, we normally require 30 days to arrange for system configuration, custom programming, forms printing and mutually agreeable installation date.

Training

Our on-site training is customized to meet your specific requirements. Our knowledgeable installation teams provide you with the training required to operate the system effectively.

Software Support

Description

Faster than if our office was right next door, you call us and we provide the support you need. We can dial-in through your modem within a few seconds, to clearly identify any problem you might have and then we can direct you to problem resolution. Our support lines are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (except holidays) and emergency support is available after hours 7-days/week and 24 hours/day through an answering service, pager and call-back system.

Terms

One year of application software support is included in the price of the system.

Application software support is available beyond the first year. You can choose a reasonably priced software maintenance contract which gives you access to our support group whenever you need it. This option includes software upgrades from time to time to keep you current with our latest options and features.

Hardware Support

The systems we provide include the best quality of hardware components that can be purchased for the price. We only include hardware that has proven to be reliable in the typical environment of livestock businesses. We will not risk our reputation on anything less than hardware of this quality. For this reason, the need for hardware support is rare. A typical installation will run for many years without any hardware problem at all. We have installed some systems that have worked flawlessly for as much as 10 years.

Description

The server is supported by the manufacturer with an on-site warranty. The peripheral equipment (printer etc.) are supported by manufacturers "depot" warranty. Beyond the warranty period, hardware maintenance contracts are available on all equipment or optionally, any repair can be made on a time and materials basis.

Terms

The server warranty is standard for one year with an option to purchase an additional two-years (upfront). The manufacturer has technical support people available in every state and province, allowing them to offer a maximum 9-hour response time.

The peripheral equipment (terminals, printers, modem etc.) includes "depot" warranty for minimum one-year and for some devices as much as five-years warranty is included.

Our own software support people can normally diagnose the nature of any hardware problem in order that when a hardware technician is dispatched, the required tools and parts are also dispatched.

The Company

General Computer Systems (GENESYS) Ltd. was incorporated in 1982 and has experienced steady growth since then.

With the co-operation of a major livestock auction market, the "flagship" software package MarketMaster was developed and installed in 1983. Since that time, years of refinements, new technology and new features have been added continually.

In a similar manner, DealerMaster has been developed over a period of fifteen years to its' current state of evolution.

The programming and support staff have a total of over 100 years (combined) of full-time computer systems experience. Over 50 years of this experience is specifically and wholly with computerized livestock marketing.
